Why learn with Myofocus?
Dr Dan and Dr Donny have a combined experience of using Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) of over 20 years. They are also two of Australia's most experienced 'TOTS' surgeons having performed well over 10,000 frenectomies between them. Nott only have they learned the theory and practical aspects from the best 'TOTS' and OMT educators in the business. They have both successfully incorporated 'TOTS' surgery and OMT for all age groups into busy dental practices and know how to make it work both for the patient, the team and the business.
What they bring to the world of OMT education is direct experience of introducing successful OMT programs to no less than 8 practices between them. With their âTake Offâ algorithms program they have created a method which is easy to follow, highly effective and world-renowned having delivered 'Take Off' OMT educational programs in multiple countries including Australia, USA, Japan, and Malaysia.
You will learn over 70 different exercises and more importantly you will be coached on when to use each exercise while still keeping every OMT treatment plan bespoke for each patient. No patient is the same, and no ideal OMT plan is the same either. Therefore, you will learn how to tailor the plan according to clinical need.
Educational tools will include live demonstrations, videography and the unique âTake Offâ algorithms which tell the user which exercises to use according to the specific overall muscular dysfunction of the patient at that moment in time. âTake Offâ algorithms enable the practitioner to key in a specific code for the dysfunction and generate an appropriate treatment plan - so you will go away from this course with pre-made treatment plans which are written according to the patientâs specific treatment need.
You will download 180 different treatment plans which correspond to 180 different dysfunction algorithm codes. This makes implementation more efficient and enhances the patient experience.
All you need to do is have the skill to diagnose the dysfunction and learn how to âtweakâ the plans as needed.
Whether you are new to myofunctional work, or whether you are an experienced practitioner, this is a great chance to learn about the trademarked 'Take Off' algorithms.
